Jeff Sterba is Chairman, President and CEO of PNM Resources,
the parent company of PNM, Texas-New Mexico Power, First
Choice Power and Avistar.
Sterba first joined PNM in 1977. He left in 1998 to become Executive Vice President of USEC, a global energy company headquartered in Maryland, but returned to PNM as CEO in 2000. He is Chair of both Edison Electric Institute and Electric Power Research Institute. He is on the board of directors for the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and actively involved in New Mexico's community and economic development efforts.
In early 2007, PNM Resources joined with a subsidiary of Cascade Investment, LLC, the personal investment vehicle for Microsoft founder Bill Gates, to form an unregulated energy company that will focus on strategic growth opportunities in unregulated energy markets in Texas, the Southwest and elsewhere.

As President and COO for PNM Resources, Pat is responsible for utility operations for PNM and TNMP. Together, PNM and TNMP operations span two states and serve 859,000 electric and 495,000 gas customers. In addition, Pat oversees the company's Regulatory, Marketing, Customer Service, and Communications functions as well as Governmental and Federal Affairs.
Pat is also a board member of EnergyCo, a limited liability company owned by PNM Resources and a subsidiary of Cascade Investment, L.L.C., a Seattle-based, private-equity firm whose sole member is Microsoft founder Bill Gates.
With more than 15 years of utility experience, Pat previously served as President and CEO of Public Service Company of Colorado, a subsidiary of Xcel Energy, and Vice President of Marketing and Sales at Arizona Public Service Company.

Jim Ferland serves as Senior Vice President of Utility Operations for PNM Resources. He is responsible for all existing generation facilities, future generation development, wholesale power marketing, and electric and gas transmission and distribution operations. In addition Jim also works to improve PNM's safety results and constructively engage all parties to increase the safety and effectiveness within the workplace.
Ferland most recently served as Vice President of Global Nuclear Field Services for Westinghouse Electric Co. where he led 1,300 employees in six separate business lines serving nuclear plants. Prior to Westinghouse, Ferland served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Louisiana Energy Services and led the successful licensing of the first major new nuclear project in the United States in 20 years - the LES Uranium Enrichment Plant that is currently under construction in southern New Mexico.
He previously served in various operations and business development positions for Westinghouse, Duke Engineering and Services, and Carolina Power and Light. Ferland holds a bachelor's degree in nuclear engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, N.Y., and a master's degree in business administration from the University of Virginia.

Ramon M. Gonzales has served as executive director of People Services since June 2006 and has since moved to the Vice President position.
In this position he uses his extensive experience in human resources management, labor and employment law to oversee human resources functions for the nearly 3,000 employees of PNM Resources and its four subsidiaries, including hiring, benefits, labor relations, occupational health and safety and all employment related issues.
